The school is equipped with modern purpose built classrooms, state of the art ICT suite and 4D cinema an extensive library, art and craft rooms in an expertly designed learning environment. We offer extended school services, which include Breakfast and After School Clubs. Enriching the curriculum as much as possible through educational and residential trips, visiting speakers and professionals drawing upon the local and wider community. Parents are encouraged to become actively involved in their children’s learning through regular coffee mornings, termly review days and an active PTA.

We are very proud of the social and cultural diversity of our school and we celebrate the richness that this brings to our community.

At Scientia the staff are committed to provide excellence in teaching and learning for every child in our school.

As the capacity of our school including the nursery has now increased , we would like to ensure that all parents/carers are aware of the dropping off arrangements which have changed from last year and appear to be working really well in accommodating the extra traffic and improving the traffic flow through the drop off area.

In order to maintain this, members of staff will continue to wait on the pavement adjoining the drop off lane to collect your child(ren) so that you can just drop off and go. Staff will then safely walk children over to the school gates where they will be greeted by other staff and directed to their classrooms.

Please ensure that you are not parking in the drop off zone and that when that you drive off as soon as it is safe to do so. If you have any messages for the class teacher, the staff on duty will be able to take a message to the teacher on your behalf. When parking on Mona Road, please ensure that you do not block the driveways of residents as Community & Civil Enforcement officers will be ticketing cars that do.

We have also had complaints from drivers about people using the main gates to enter and exit the grounds on foot. We would request that pedestrians use the pedestrian gates only to ensure your safe entrance and exit. There are 2 pedestrian gates either side of the main gates and it is obviously in the interests of health and safety that these pedestrian gates should be used when walking to and from school.

Please can you also make sure that children dismount their bikes/scooters before they go through the school gates to avoid any accidents. Please can you all follow these arrangements in order to ensure the safety of all children and visitors to our school.
